July 2, 2015: USWNT-Japan World Cup final, Bassett's own goal, MLS Year 1

Planet Fútbol with Grant Wahl - July 2, 2015 - 42:38

The 2015 Women's World Cup is down to its final two teams, and it's the same two that battled for the 2011 title. The USA and Japan will meet for a third straight major final–doing so in the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal Game as well–and they're entering under different circumstances. While the USA played its best game against Germany, Japan got through on Laura Bassett's devastating own goal. SI's Grant Wahl, Brian Straus, Liviu Bird and Avi Creditor react to Bassett's own goal, assess the USA's chances in the final and also tease SI Magazine's MLS Year 1 oral history, which includes some phenomenal stories.
