She has also testified before Congress.Nearly two years after credit monitoring company Equifax announced that a “Cybersecurity Incident” had exposed personal information of 147 million Americans, it will pay at least $575 million, and potentially up to $700 million, to end a federal, state, and consumer claims against it. With breaches like Equifax happening on a seemingly regular basis, it’s more important than ever to keep a close eye on your credit score. And don’t forget to review your credit report every 12 months at AnnualCreditReport.com.
