Take The Plunge For Special Olympics

Agents of Inclusion - March 1, 2023 - 17:47

Some cities this week are experiencing record high temperatures -- perfect for swimming if you're in Florida. Meanwhile, a winter storm has blanketed much of the country, dropping record snowfall in some regions -- also perfect for swimming if you're a polar bear. With winter weather in full swing this week, it is apropos to discuss one of Special Olympics most beloved/chilly events that takes place all across the country. Special Olympics athletes Kaitlin Dykes of Virginia and David Persons of Minnesota speak with JR about the attitude participants need for the polar plunge and share their advice for JR and others who have never taken the plunge themselves.
